Individual Therapy

What Brings You To Therapy?

Are you navigating relationship issues?

Are you going through a transition or significant changes in your life?

Do you find it difficult to focus, plan, or organize yourself?

Do you sometimes feel numb, or have trouble connecting with yourself or others?

Do you sometimes feel overwhelmed or overstimulated?

Are you (re)discovering who you are or what you want most in life?

Do you feel you may have trauma, but not have clarity on what your trauma may be?

Do you find yourself repeating patterns you would rather not repeat?

These are a few questions my clients and I often work through together.

I see my role as a therapist as helping to guide you towards a life that feels meaningful, whatever that may look like to you. This may mean finding deeper alignment with what you already value in life. It may mean rediscovering who you are deep down and navigating changes to create the life you envision. This line of inquiry may lead down a path of healing emotional wounds that need compassion and attention so you can focus on what you want presently. It may also be a space in which we create a plan to stay on track with present day goals and aspirations.

Therapy begins by us getting to know one another. It is important to me to know where you come from and what experiences, early or recent, have been a part of shaping who you are today. Early therapy involves discussing what our collaboration will look like. I want for you to have agency in the process, and to that end there will be transparency around what forms of therapy I offer and what sessions can look like. We will come up with goals and begin to explore how a therapeutic relationship can bring about the growth, changes, or acceptance you are seeking.

Relationship will always come into the picture. And most especially, our relationship with ourselves- because our connection to our inner world of thought, sensation, and emotion colors our experience of life. Learning new ways of relating to our inner world gives us options and freedom. With that, more is available to us towards creating a life that feels whole and fulfilling.
